April 2026 Newsletter Do I have time to play you may ask? Every Thursday morning, but only about an hour. We have four or five member teams and only need two people from your team for a legal game. Schedules are published, and you will know when you play. Any week that you cannot field a team, we have a liberal makeup system, and we get it done. Alternates are almost always at the courts and love to play. Unless I hear otherwise, we expect you to play this year, and, yes I have a couple of changes and some new players. We are on schedule to get minor improvements done at the courts to start play on May 7th and complete play on October 1st. That is twenty two weeks with playoffs and banquet on October 8th. We are planning no rule changes, but we will discuss everything on April 30th. Bocce players and anyone interested in playing meet at the lodge at 1 o'clock on April 30th. We will be having a light lunch followed by a brief meeting. Team lists and schedule is always a work in progress, but I will get it done. Please pay your dues by sending them to Louise Clay, paying at the spring meeting or call (815-248-1072) and drop them off. Checks need to be made payable to LSBocce at $30 per person, but alternates pay $10 dues and a dollar a week. Last year we played some fun games in October, and because it went well, look for us to do the same in April (weather permitting), Gerry calls it spring training, meet at 10 o'clock every Thursday at the courts. The Bocce Club is open to all Adult Lake Summerset residents and lot owners. We have the courts reserved on Thursdays, May through September, and play regularly scheduled games each week. We invite you to join us as a team player or as an alternate player. A fun summer member participation league, and a good place to meet some of your Lake Summerset neighbors. Don't forget our awesome website at LSBOCCE.club for current information or feel free to call. Randy Myers
